Monterey Day With Blogger Queenhorsfall
I wanted to revisit my day trip to Monterey before it becomes too distant in the past. In January I spent the day hanging out with fashion blogger Queenhorsfall. We met at the JCPenney Opening last Fall in Salinas, and in January we met up for a day of walking, talking, food, and of course photos! I loved being able to practice my "blogging" photography and have some fun with a like-minded gal! We started off in downtown Monterey, walking the streets and trading tips on our favorite restaurants and shops. We stopped for some sustenance at Paris Bakery, a wonderful and mellow little local place with yummy pastries, coffee and food.
We'd been having torrential rains for weeks, so we were both a bit stir-crazy and happy for a nice clear day outside. It wasn't warm and we definitely got chilled, but it was so worth it. We hopped on down the coast to Pacific Grove and walked the pathway along the rough, wild coastline and blue-gray ocean. Queenhorsfall, aka Diana, is originally from Kazakstan and has lived in more cities and countries than I have ever visited!

Check out her blog and Instagram, she is the sweetest! It was so much fun and eye-opening to hang out with someone in the blogging world, and who would stop at the same pretty spots as I did, lingering to take photos or sit a while. And did I mention climbing rocks in cute clothes? Once it started getting dark and we realized how starving we were (again), we walked up a few blocks to Mediterranean restaurant Petra. We made it right before the dinner rush and warmed up by the fire with some hot tea and a delicious dinner.
